Putting up a Christmas tree, has never been so exciting for us since planning out our Christmas Afternoon tea photoshoot this year. After weeks of scrolling on the gram, searching through Facebook, browsing through Daraz, we finally managed to find some super cute décor in Colombo that goes hand in hand with our vibe at I & M.
Our grandmother had the cutest ornament collection growing up, so every time I found myself in and around Kirulopana, even as a teenager, I would almost always stop by and browse the store, and what a delight it was to my eyesight, even though my bank account couldn't afford any of it. Trips to Midaya was always and still is a magical experience to me.
So this year, our Christmas décor hunt begun at Midaya (Obviously!) I had already stalked there Instagram account, so I knew what I wanted (The Santa with the toy box) when I walked in. But as a full grown adult with a little bit of money to spend, I spotted a few Christmas ornaments from a previous years collection that was on sale. So I handed all of them over to the cashier and told my self this was an investment.

If you know me by person, and have been to my living room I can point out to you, more than four things that have been purchased previously from House of Gifts. Why I keep finding myself doing spontaneous turns down Bagatelle road whenever I have some time to kill is probably cause of the good quality products with reasonable pricing they have to offer.

If you didn't already know, Edys has a new store on Malalasekera Mawatha, and one entire floor is dedicated to Christmas decorations only. Our hunt became a bit out of control here, and we ended up exceeding our 'allocated marketing budgets'. Honestly though, you cant blame any person (with no self control) they have some really pretty stuff! These are a few of our faves.

Their service and quality of work is so on point, I wanted the sugar plum fairy from from the story the nutcracker, but I wanted her in a green dress with red ballet shoes so they will kind of vibe with the rest of the decorations and Araliya creations exceeded expectations!
